Just a quick orientation and then we're gonna get right to work.

A reminder, this is focused one on one work, you and me, one script at a time.

And while we're working together, we're gonna get to know each other through the choices you make.

I understand some of you are jumping into VO for the very first time, and some of you are here to kind of tighten things up.

And some of you are here to push even further, but wherever you're at, you've begun a real connection between us.

You bring the work, I bring the notes.

No browsing, no fishing around, just material you actually care about.

I will listen closely, respond honestly, and keep this conversation centered on what's working and maybe what's not.

What happens next is really straightforward.

You'll see clear instructions for set up and selection down there.

THE LAB — Entry-Level Directed Performance

THE LAB is for performers new to animation voice acting who want to experience real, directed performance work in a focused, one-on-one environment with Ian James Corlett.

You'll work with a single script—comedy, action, or drama—based on what pulls at you. This isn't about getting it "right." It's about exploring, committing to clear ideas, and learning how to respond to direction like you would in a real session.

Each performance receives direct, personal feedback from Ian, followed by the opportunity to apply that direction and submit a refinement pass so you can hear the adjustment in your own work.

This is not a course. It is real performance work, treated like a professional audition, with the safety to experiment and the structure to grow.
